Forum 6 & Cinemas

This is a great cinema. Friendly staff, clean, and great movies. I wish we had a cinema like this in Cronulla.
This is another update on a great place. Went to see Deadpool and the crowds were big. The staff got us in very quickly after a lot of people coming out of that cinema. I was surprised how clean it was, after the previous crowd. I did ask the staff what was in there before and they said it was Deadpool and it was full.
Well done to the cinema.
I have noticed they have a bigger selection of ice creams now, heaps to choose from.

I went to the cinemas (to see Spectre 007) for the first time in years tonight and was totally disappointed with this cinema!
We sat through many advertisements before the system crashed and we were watching a blank screen. This happened without any explanation to the audience as to what was happening (or what went wrong!). This happened twice before a gentleman came into the cinema and announced that the movie couldn’t be shown due to technical difficulties and that we would receive refunds for our tickets. OK — This could happen and at this stage not a big issue. Some patrons opted to sit into other movies that had already started but this is not appealing to me as I’d like to see the beginning of the movie to understand it.
It is what happened next that I do not believe is Fair Trading! The tickets were paid for on a Visa card and as many retailers do (despite 63% of people surveyed by Fair Trading saying it is not a good business charge to make). OK Convenience and all, often I’m not too concerned with a small surcharge. What I believe is completely unreasonable and unfair trading is that they refunded us cash rather than processing a reversal on the card itself. Again, not really a big issue but they refused to refund the surcharge itself! This is completely disgusting! They have made more from us and probably others by NOT delivering what we paid for in the first place! I understand that one person paying $ 1 surcharge is not a lot of money to be worked up over. I’m making this complaint as it is about the principle of the situation not the amount of money. The fact they are happy to take a surcharge, not deliver the service and then pocket that surcharge is outrageous.
I’m awaiting a response from GRANT the manager (as told to me by the staff there) as to why they think this is OK! Once the Dept of Fair Trading and ATO are open again on Monday I’ll be contacting them for further advice and to submit complaint.
Grant and Forum6 Cinemas! — This practise must be reviewed and corrected. It is unacceptable to charge the customer anything for your lack of delivering the service offered. In fact to compensate a few patrons by offering them a free movie voucher would have been a lot more appropriate in such as situation as these people will rave about how nice you were about it on FB — Just as I’m doing now to the contrary!
Not impressed by this Tamworth business!
