Urban Myth has travelled with shows and its workshop programs regionally, nationally and internationally and has won many awards throughout its history.

History

Established in 1981.

In 1981, theatre director Brigid Kitchin realised an opportunity to offer professional theatre workshops for young people in the Unley City area. Without hesitation, Unley Council supported Brigid’s dream with access to the ‘Cottage’ on Edmund Avenue and that is where the company resided for 31 years until, in 2012, the company relocated to its own theatre home… The Goodwood Institute.
