Sushi Nikkou is not just my favourite sushi restaurant, but my favourite place to eat in Brisbane. Their sushi is always fresh, and so tasty. They have such a great range of both traditional and westernised sushi dishes, which may be a negative for some sushi die-hards, but I love the menu. The chefs will make whatever you are craving to order, so even when it is quiet(almost never) you don’t need to take your chances on the train. My dish of choice is the Salmon Rainbow, while my partner can and will eat three of the Spicy Beef nigiri in one sitting. It is very reasonably priced($ 2.80−6.60), and definitely not for group dining, 4 people maximum. Oh and they have a $ 20 eftpos minimum.

Great sushi. Always fresh. Haven’t found anywhere else in Brisbane as good.

Sushi Nikkou, located on Logan Road, seems to me just another sushi train — you know what you’re going to get. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, take your seat at the counter and wait for the miniature train to arrive at your station with some delicious sushi. I’ve dined here quite a few times and the one thing I’ve noticed is that nearly every single type of sushi has avocado on it! Not great for someone like me that doesn’t particularly enjoy avocado. I assume they do this to expand the size of their sushi rolls, as there is never a large amount of meat in the rolls. The food is tasty, but nothing extraordinary in comparison to other sushi train’s. Lots of raw seafood and crumbed chicken, with the odd roll being completely unidentifiable to me. Sushi Nikkou will get you a decent feed for cheap, just don’t expect too much.
