This is a super cute little spot tucked away up at the very pointy end of Vaucluse… its a bit of a secret, you’ll tell people who have lived in Sydney their whole lives that you went to the beach at Parsely Bay and 9⁄10 of them will say«where the hell is that?»… Honestly… the water is a bit muddy and the sand is brown and there are no waves. Don’t come here for open ocean and waves. But its so freaking cute and chilled out. You don’t feel like you’re in Sydney really. And its so refined, darling. Its definitely very«niace» to spend the day at Parsely Bay dear, not«noice», that’s for sure. Its the perfect place to come with a picnic hamper and a book and sit under one of the gorgeous trees and while the afternoon away. You will also always find parking within reasonable walking distance. It’s really very pretty, the walk over the small bridge is cute too. Obnoxious teenagers climb over and jump into the bay from there, I’m too old for that shit. But it looks like a lot of fun!

Holy S — - this place is like an advertisement for wealthy living. Pleasantville or what? I could sell postcards of this setting! Picnic your heart out.

Not the most obvious beach in the Eastern Suburbs. You have to wind your way around the back roads of Vaucluse in order to find it and then you have to follow the signs to actually get to it. I only realised it was there because I lived next door to it for a few months. As a result, it’s not an overly busy beach, although it does get popular with families with young children, mainly due to it’s inlet location meaning that there are minimal waves. It’s not the cleanest sand in the world, but it is nice if you just want to head down to a beach and relax, and the high sides surrounding it, mean that there is usually a good opportunity to get some shade.

This beach is a real gem. Not a lot of people, including Sydney-siders, know of its existence so its never really packed, even in summer. This is essentially a family friendly beach so if you looking to show off your tiny bikini or flex your muscles Jersey Shore style, then this beach ain’t for you! My friend introduced me to this beach as a place to have a quiet swim and laze about without being disturbed by hordes of people. The water is really calm so its great for kids as well. There is a small boardwalk which leads onto the suspension bridge if so inclined. i prefer to just laze about with a few friends and take a dip in-between. Sweet. Due to its location, its best to get here by car. There is a small car park or you can street-park up the road. There isn’t much around so its best to pack a picnic lunch, otherwise you can drive up to Nielson Park or into Vaucluse for something more substantial. Love this little secret part of Sydney. Shhhh! :)
