Bought a baguette from Barrett’s today. I was very disappointed. It was heavy, tasteless, chalky and expensive.
No where near what a baguette should be.

I have been going to this bakery for years and it doesn’t disappoint. Right near uwa and a set of other cafes it’s a great place to get a coffee load up with delicious bread (I recommend milk bread it makes the greatest vegemite sandwich — as the name suggests it’s made using milk instead of water so it’s very fluffy)
They do a great range of pastry treats (sweet) big tasty rolls with various fillings and most importantly (and make sure you get there before 930 or they may have sold out) get the lamb pork and rosemary sausage roll it is the greatest and a must have from here .
Also the staff speak a lot of french to one another which adds a bit of something extra to the atmosphere.

Claire F found this baker was the former supplier for one of our regular haunts so we decided to give it a go… and I am pleased to say I am super glad we did!
They are open really good hours (I am guessing being close to UWA helps) and they offer a great selection of baked goods.
I am a fan of their breads and pastries; we have even tried their pre-​made rolls: salmon, Brie and salad — very nice.
