Café Laurella was quite the let down in terms of food and service. We had booked the restaurant for a friends birthday and the overall experience was sub-​par. I had heard good things about the café style restaurant so was therefore anticipating a good lunch. The café is extremely overpriced and for average food, is not good value for money. Perhaps the café has gone downhill since my friend last visited? Despite it used to being a hotspot in Wahroonga for lunch with the ladies, Café Laurella is not as good as it used to be. There is however plenty of variety which is a plus.

Didn’t really seem like the café was all that busy, but the staff were still running around a bit stressed. Maybe they just had the weekend rush. In any case, every time I walked by this café it always seemed to be bustling. Guess that was a good sign.
I ordered 2 babycinos and my dbl Mac and waited to see the result. When out with the boys to a café, it comes down to a vital milk to choc powder ratio and then whether or not they serve marshmallows.
While they could have done with a bit more choc, they get a big thumbs up for the marshmallows. I wish I could have said the same for the coffee. It was so burnt and bitter it was undrinkable.
Paid up, but with the other great options around (like Kokoh
) I can’t believe I will be motivated enough to come back.
