I love any place that can hem my clothes whilst I shop, as I’m not really one to plan too far ahead. For me, it’s perfect for me to just drop some clothes off, and then pick them up finished. I use these guys quite a bit, because both my mum and husband are short, so every pair of pants they buy need shortening. This was something mum tried to do on a few occasions herself, but the results werent good! Service is great, and they alter to what you tell them. ask for an inch off and you will get an inch off.

Alter it Clothing Alterations are one of the few places I actually trust to get my clothes fixed. In saying that, this is very rarely a service I require unless a button falls off or I buy something on ebay that needs a slight adjustment. The prices here are a little high but everything they do is done manually so it’s fair enough really. It cost me about $ 8 to get a button sewn on and another button made more secure. This place tends to get quite busy so for simple things, like getting a button fixed, it can take up to three hours. As they are located in a shopping centre this isn’t too bad as you can easily entertain yourself for that period without getting bored. The staff here are really good at understanding what you want and the repairs are high quality. It rocks!

This place has been here for some time, and I’ve used it quite frequently over the years. See, I’m a short guy with a fairly wide waistband. This means that invariably, jeans are going to be a bit too long. Maybe that’s understating it a bit. I reckon I could probably make another pair of jeans out of what needs cutting off. Typically, I buy a pair of jeans somewhere in the shopping centre, go home, try them on, and then remember«oh, hey, I’m a shortarse». Inevitably, this means trudging back down to Knox, and dropping off the jeans at Alter It. Sometimes I’ll buy another pair of jeans and get them done at the same time. They’re usually really quick. I often have them back in less than an hour. Service is efficient if not chatty, but that suits me fine. I like this place a lot.
