Brocky’s On Liebig

Just passing through and stopped for lunch with the family. Ordered lunch and spotted date scones while ordering so added one of them too. OMG not only are they home made, they taste fantastic!
Struggling to get through the huge chicken parmi foccaccia but I’m giving it my best coz its so delicious.
The iced coffees are strong without being too strong.
Highly recommend to anyone wanting a good feed

It is just so cool when you jump in the car to go and find a place for breakfast that is open on an Easter Sunday and discover one literally around the corner from where you are staying. Yep, that place was Brocky’s, and to say that they served a pretty decent breakfast is an understatement. I even broke from my routine of simply having bacon and eggs and dived in for a pancake and I must say I was pleasantly rewarded. Those pancakes were magnificent. My friend ended up having the poached eggs, but I really couldn’t get any more than ‘yep, there good’ out of him (though if they weren’t I would have been sure to hear about it). Oh, and they also gave us a massive pot of tea with a side of water, with made the fact that they had simply dumped the tea leaves into the pot not as annoying as it normally is. This is definitely a place that I would recommend to people down this way.

I was only passing through Warrnambool, but needed a proper café breakfast. We randomly picked Brockys because it was open, and it looked nice.
Very comfy inside. There’s a case of inviting looking pastries and sandwiches, and a large room with plenty of small tables. At the back are more loungey spaces. The whole place just yells «breakfast», although perhaps if I’d stopped by at noon it would have screamed «lunch» as well. You don’t feel crowded, though: the place is quite large, with high ceilings, and you’re not packed in like some breakfast café nooks are.
The ladies running the show were friendly, took our order, and promptly brought out some tasty coffees and a great brekkie. I had a big bowl of baked beans with smoked ham and a slice of toast (one of my favourites); they had a few types of beans in there, mixing things up. My wife had mushrooms on toast — in fact, one giant, grilled mushroom cap, which she reported as being quite good.
If you find yourself on the west end of the Great Ocean Road you could do a lot worse for breakfast.
