History
Established in 2012.
Karate was introduced to Japan from Okinawa in 1922 by Gichin Funakoshi who was the founder of the Shotokan style of karate. In 1949 the Japan Karate Association (JKA)was form and Funakoshi Sensei was its first Chief Instructor.
JKA karate is a traditional style of karate that follows the tradition of Gichin Funakoshi, the Warrnambool Shotokan JKA karate is one of the many dojo that follows them.
