Loved every bits of this place! Great food. Great Coffee. Great variety. Great atmosphere especially on a sunny day(given is part out doors)! Loved the linguine in particular! Service is typical Aussie(laid back), but staffs real friendly! Defo recommend!

I love this place! It’s got a great atmosphere and wonderful service. The coffee and food are always on point and delicious! Love the bacon and egg rolls, French toast, avocado on toast and big breakfast are all amazing!

I live in the neighbourhood and have walked past this place many times as it seemed popular. Greeted by a friendly guy, my friends and I were seated inside(thankfully as it was such a hot day). The menu has the classics as well as some few things that are different like the eggs(any way) with potato roesti, I think the locals like it just the way it is. I had the corn cakes dish which was a little deceiving as it was only 1 corn cake. There wasn’t much corn in it at all but the bacon and the avocado made up for the flavour. My friends had the egg benedict which they said was really good. They also ordered chai latte however said it was far too sweet and could only drink a little before abandoning it for water. Perhaps it was the syrup? Not sure if I would go back though — it didn’t wow me. I think there are better options in the neighbourhood!

Ordered one pan breakfast with bacon egg chorizo mushroom toast & relish. Was tasty but only luke warm… note to cafes: don’t leave meals sitting around. Ditto with my cappucino: tasted ok but tepid(«warm» coffee is becoming a disturbing trend in Sydney cafes).

Not off to a good start, ordered a «hot» coffee, got a lukewarm one. Chose Corn«cakes», with bacon, avocado, roasted tomatoes, rocket and Maple Syrup. Cakes, or anything ending in «s» normally implies more than 1, but only 1 arrived. Stodgy, floury, tasteless, and hardly any corn to be seen. Maple syrup was a very small amount, drizzled over the meal, lucky to be a teaspoon worth. At least the avocado was fresh, tasty and without those awful bruised and black bits that taste foul. Can only give 1 star and that was for the staff and the service. Ordinary food taste wise, lukewarm coffee a major no no . Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back. Very quiet on the day we went, so being busy can’t be used as an excuse. Too many cafes/restaurants try to get by on «positive comments» on apps like Unilocal,we came because of the comments. Overpriced as well. Happy to pay«a bit extra», but not for below average food and terrible coffee, shouldn’t have to ask for hot coffee.

A friendly and chic café that sprawls onto Dank street. Probably one of the best cafes in the area for the price. I had the one pan brrakfast which had great ingredients but was a little bland … use all the chutney and then you might be onto something. Definitely com6ibg back though. Good times

We came here during a busy weekend and the place was packed but the staff was accommodating and really friendly. The only food item we ordered were the garlic fries, but they were done really well, just how garlic fries should be. They make a real good mocha and we just enjoyed the atmosphere, it was a beautiful sunny day so we got to sit outside and just enjoy the lovely outdoors.

For years this place got overlooked by Danks Street Depot for its breakfasts, but I’ve now been to Wah Wah Lounge a few times and my experiences there have always been good. The typical scrambled eggs brekkie was done well and the coffee ain’t bad either. However my favourite thing to order here is the affogato, really good with lots of ice cream! So if the line at Danks Street Depot is too long, stumble over to Wah Wah Lounge across the road and you’ll feel equally as satisfied. Promise!

The Wah Wah Lounge sits right smack in the middle of one of Sydney’s foodie precincts of Waterloo. Its always buzzing with a diverse demographic of people and serves up an amazing coffee. Breaksfasts are good also though I only scrambled eggs on a sonoma rye still one of the best I have had in Sydney. I have to emphasise again the staff here are not only efficient but also some of the most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The best spot to sit is outdoors which can share the sun and shade definitely one of my favourite places to café in Sydney.

I arrived into Sydney on Friday morning, hungry and cranky after a two-hour ordeal at customs. Exiting the stuffy terminal, I was welcomed by a sunny blue sky and a warm breeze. My brother decided to take me to Danks Street in Waterloo for breakfast, where we decided on Wah Wah Lounge. It is a bright little café that serves breakfast and lunch every day of the week. After hearing much hoopla about Australia’s fantastic coffee, I was very satisfied with my cappuccino that was topped with a frothy heart. But you should get more than coffee at this place. I highly recommend the poached egg with smoked salmon, served on a potato roesti with rocket, crème fraiche, and dill. The crunchiness of the round potato pancake is a nice change from a slice of toast and works well with the buttery salmon. Also, the breakfast bruschetta of poached eggs, roasted tomatoes, and herbs is a splendid choice for a mid-day meal.
