First time here. Stated with«Iggy’s» bread, warm olives & anchovies with tomato & chilli on toasted bread. All were great, although would question having powdered chilli on the side with the anchovies — chopped fresh or marinated chilli may have been a better option. For main, ordered daily special of aged sirloin on the bone. Was char grilled & perfectly cooked. My only criticism would be the accompaniments — The baked thing with it(not 100% whether it was potato) looked nice but was tasteless & did not fit with the steak at all — seemed an odd choice. A crispy skinned baked potato would have been better and likely easier to prepare. The pesto on the side went well with the steak but needed a bit more salt in it. Overall very nice steak but worth $ 46… Hmmm For wine chose the«a boy with fruit» shiraz petite verdot cabernet. Highly recommended. Finished with a nice coffee. In summary: will be back but the prices mean its a special occasion place rather than a regular haunt.

Out for a NEW Dinner experience. Checked out the Menu on their webpage, a bit different to the in-house one. We had Iggy’s bread, warm olives and ortiz anchovies with tomato and chilli as starters. The bread was fresh and tasty, the warm olives had a fabulous flavour, the anchovies were delicious but disappointing that the chilli was«chilli powder» served in small bowl to sprinkle over. I don’t like eating chilli powder, was expecting the chilli to be either mixed with the tomato or a chilli oil or something similar over the anchovies. My main was Crispy skin Barramundi, cooked very well, nice and moist, nothing special taste wise, the sides and sauce served with it were bland and disappointing. My partner had the special, «Aged on the bone sirloin», cooked to perfection, medium as ordered. Very tasty, even I had a bite . I had the Chocolate Delice with salted caramel ice cream,(was supposed to have raspberries with it, but there were none) and peanut brittle. Very chocolatey, the peanut brittle was delightful, the ice cream unassuming. We both had coffees, mine was a latte and it was served in a glass with a fabulous little rubber/plastic grip near the bottom so you don’t get burnt fingers. Wine list is extensive and expensive. The tables for 2 diners are very small, too small I think. We were lucky to have a table that was for 3, it was the right size for 2, enough room for 4 glasses, and starters to share. The main dining area has tables very close together, no privacy or chance of an intimate dinner. The dining area at the front of the restaurant is more suited and roomy. A pleasant dinner, probably wouldn’t go back, not that special. Nice friendly staff, had to try and read the menu in the dark to start with until we were provided with a light. ,

This delightful little restaurant never disappoints! Food is consistently fabulous and the service is always spot on. Wine list is fabulous and no matter how full we are the desserts are always too enticing to pass up!

Gorgeous little restaurant, idyllically tucked away behind the trees on Bronte Road in Charing Cross. It offers a delicious menu of Modern Australian cuisine with a touch Mediterranean. Heralded for its Steak Frites w/Café de Paris Butter and its Duck Confit, you will also find an exceptional Wine List which transcends expectations. The ambiance is charming, refined and relaxed. Owned and operated by Husband & Wife, Stewart & Jessica; if you like it you will find yourself returning most often.
