Bought a pastie on Monday Australia day weekend, it was the worst pastie I have had, hardly any filling and the filling itself was like a paste, similar to a sausage roll mixture and there was so much pastry. Extremely disappointed

Ray’s Hot Bread is on the Main Road at Wellington Point. For me, the stand out feature of this bakery are the staff. No matter who is working, always greet me with a big smile and ask how my day is.
The second thing that I go back for are the tomato pies and the cherry chocolate slice. The pies are amazing, full of flavour and you can see the ingredients. It is not just a pie with tomato flavour, their is a big slice of tomato underneath the crunchy pastry top. The cherry slice is my other favourite although not an ‘every-day’ snack.
They also sell freshly baked bread and your typical bakery pastries, buns, slices and cold drinks.
