AIM Occupational Therapy (AIM OT) for Children provides Assessment, Intervention and Monitoring of the development of children from 2 – 18 years old. We are located in Floreat (2434 Cambridge Street). We also have a Mandurah visiting service operating from Greenfields Family Community Centre each Friday: Murdoch Drive, Mandurah. Individual and group sessions available.

Areas of development that an Occupational Therapist can assist children with include:

* Play

* Fine motor — writing, cutting, drawing

* Gross motor — coordination, balance, organising/​planning movements, ball skills

* Self care — dressing, eating, toileting, bathing, sleeping

* Visual Perception — making sense of what they see and developing the eye muscles for reading

* Sensory — meeting a child’s need for more or less sensation throughout the day to stay calm and alert

* Social skills

* Attention and concentration

Established in 2009.

AIM Occupational Therapy for Children was developed in 2009 in response to the growing need for private occupational therapy services in Perth’s metropolitan areas north of the river. AIM Occupational Therapy provides Assessment, Intervention and Monitoring of the development of 2 – 18 year olds. Our main practice is located in Floreat (2434 Cambridge Street). We also provide services from Greenfields Family Community Centre each Thursday. AIM Occupational Therapy is open Monday to Saturday. Speech Pathology services are also available through Smart Talk Speech Pathology. AIM Occupational Therapy’s Floreat practice has HiCAPS where clients can claim Medicare and Private Health Insurance rebates

Business Owner

Claire has a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) with First Class Honours from Curtin University (2008). Her Honours project involved investigating a potential role for occupational therapy in an Australian Mother Baby Unit. In 2010 Claire presented this research at the World Federation Conference in Chile and at the State Occupational Therapy Conference.

Claire is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia Ltd., is registered with the Occupational Therapists’ Registration Board of WA and is a member of OT Australia WA. She has completed various Professional Development Courses that have assisted her to be able to continue to provide high quality services to children.

Claire has always had a passion for working with children and enjoys being a part of their growth and development. She enjoys being a paediatric Occupational Therapist more each day and looks forward to meeting and working with your child to improve their development.
