Green Bees Organics

My wife and I had a highly unpleasant experience at this café. We went for a quick lunch and at the end didn’t even get to eat. First, when we ordered the EFTPOS machine was not functioning, so it took five min to work it out (this is the second time this had happened). We ordered a cappuccino, a matcha latte and two lamb pies. The staff only remembered to bring out the cappuccino. After 15 min, once queried, they made the matcha, and then after another 10 min they came and asked us if we had ordered any food. I was amused by their incompetence. My wife had to go for an appointment and missed her lunch. I waited for another 20 min to get the pies in a take away container, after being told that they may not have any pie bases to make them. No vouchers or refunds offered. The incompetence is amusing given that there were 3+ staff and only 3 – 4 tables.

Maria of Green Bees Organics, at 42 Vulture St WEST END, is the lovely owner & visionary of this café. A drafter in a previous life,
Maria suffered illness & intolerance to certain foods, including gluten & dairy.
Through lifestyle & dietary changes & support of family, Maria is proof that necessity, can become a passion, & hence Green Bees Organics was born.
The café has been fitted — out in entirely almost recycled materials, & all of their packaging is environmentally friendly. Everything in this café is Gluten Free, Organic (including tea & coffee), as well as providing Sugar Free, Paleo, Vegan
& Raw options.
The menu is simple with only a few items, which is great for making quick choices. All-​Day breakfast $ 12-​$ 15, and Lunch or Dinner $ 8-​$ 12, as well as «Guilt-​free» desserts from $ 5.
It’s always great to stumble upon small businesses like Green Bees Organics who believe in what they do, & knowing that for everytime we eat here, not only are we nourishing our bodies, helping the environment, but
also supporting another great local business.
We ordered the:
1. The organic Acai Bowl (amazoniaco) with acai berries, banana, apple, chia seeds, paleo granola & honey. This was just what we needed after a long sleep in. It could have done with a bit more bananas but I think because we dined in they filled the bowl to the brim & couldn’t fit more in.
2. The organic/​vegan chickpea & Lentil pattie with Cashew butter, sweet potato fries, small salad & a drink. What a delightful dish! I do try vegan dishes on the odd occasion and Absolutely loved this! Yummy & super filling too!
Definitely will be back to support this local business and hopefully so will West End residents
