The Burrow is eccentric and wonderful, spacious and welcoming. It’s quirky in a rustic Queenslander style with an inner balcony and coloured glass panels that allow glimmers of blue and red to bounce off the mostly timber tables. Friendly service and delicious all day breakfast. Highly recommended for thoughtful spicing, such as the yummiest hash browns, smoked tomato herbed hollandaise and pesto seasoned avocado. Eggs were poached perfectly. Generous portions. Awesome coffee. The menus are adorable made out of upcycled children’s picture books, like Dr Seuss. Love this place in colourful West End Brisbane.

Excellent. Atmosphere? Check(the children’s books with the menu is cute) Service? Check. Food quality? Check. I got the potato and goats cheese pizza last time and it was amazing. Excellent alcohol selection as well.

Attended farewell lunch for workmate at this casual dining place. I had the burger with their special sauce and it’s so yummy. Great food and friendly staff.

The best pizza place I have ever been to. The number of craft beers is insane. We got the pulled pork pizza and definitely will be going back many times while we are in the country. I am from Chicago and this pizza was the real deal.

More of a hangout spot than somewhere you’d really go for the food. They have a small number of vegetarian options, including a margherita pizza that was fine but not really up to American standards(let alone Italian), and a few entertainingly named salads. Their menus are stashed inside the used covers of children’s books, and their outdoor dining area has some fairly psychedelic murals. When I came, the service was painfully slow(the server explained«I’m really f*cking sorry», but that he had forgotten our order). I suspect the drink selection is more the attraction, but I’m not a drinker. Probably two stars for all else, up to three for the laid back Australian atmosphere.

Oh man breffus got new game. The Cumberbatch is amazing. Hash browns beautiful and inventive. Herbed hollandaise compliments the poached egg and ham. The bacon jam just kicks this dish up another level again.

Alright I will say that I only went into this place because of the name and the look of it. it’s adorable. The seating is well spaced considering how narrow both the building and outdoor area are. The menu is eclectic and everything we tried at our table was okay but nothing worth returning for unfortunately it was raining the day we were here so outside seating was not available but looking outside it seems like a very pleasant green area.

The Burrow is a great place to go for groups and the pizzas are super delicious. Unfortunately, the service is pretty lacklustre! Staff are nice, but it takes forever for drinks to come and the staff seem to be more concerned with standing around looking cool than getting drinks out. However, food service is pretty fast and they have soy cheese, so that’s a huge plus!

This place has to be one of my favourite places to go for breakfast in Brisbane. The venue itself is not all that big but the staff are amazing — very kind and will go out of their way for you. The food is also delicious. They also cater to kids; offering children their own colouring pages to colour, while the parents enjoy a much needed coffee break. Just bare in mind when ordering for kids as plain toast will set you back about as much as ordering a kids meal! This was my only negative to eating here because I couldn’t understand the pricing for essentially vegemite on toast.

Cute little place to go for brunch! The vibe and feel you get in there is great! Good music, interior, nice staff and great affordable food! Definitely get the lamb pizza again! Mhmm

Smallest pizza I’ve ever seen in my life and the sauce was too sweet. We actually had a laugh at how small the pizza was, unfortunately. With a bottle of wine, the bill came to $ 58. Way too much for ‘tiny pizza night’. The staff were responsive and quite nice. Man, I really want to like this place.

A workmate’s going away drinks. Yeah. Everyone’s leaving. This is in a great little location off the main drag in West End, and the place sure has some character. The indoor area looks lovely, but we ended up in the little alley down the side on some picnic tables. Perfect on a summer evening! The pizzas we had were pretty good, and there’s a big range of interesting drink choices. If you’re into beer, their limited tap range changes as they move from one barrel to the next. It’s a nice little place, and I’d not hesitate to come here again.

Relaxed and chill place. The pizzas were great and the drinks and beer selection top. Mason jars too so what’s not to like?!

What a great little restaurant! Fabulous service and great breakfast menu. My son ordered the HAM solo waffle with maple syrup, my wife the david bekenHAM — two perfectly poached eggs with avocado and tomatoe on sour dough and i had the leantine — fried cauliflower, babaganoush, semi sun dried tomatoe, lettuce with pork and beef sausage on homemade flat bread with dukka — YUM! We were drawn in by the busy atmosphere and eclectic atmosphere. An enjoyable family sunday morning outing! Very affordable also, great value.

I’ve been here twice, only to grab coffees because it’s really close to a work meeting place for me. The first time I got a latte to go and the barista did some fancy latte art and it made my day, and I guess the coffee wasn’t bad either: P More recently I went in and as I walked in I was asked what I was after(a coffee) and if I wanted it to go(I said maybe just a window seat) and I was told it would be brought right out to me. It was pretty nice, good customer service. He could have had me just walk up to the counter and get my drink, or place my order and pay and then go sit down. It’s the little things people. That’s why I’ll go back… Definitely wanna try some food here soon!

I’ve been here a few times and had a great time for both lunch and dinner. The menu has so much to offer and it does change so don’t get too attached or beg them to keep it. I’ve had their fresh house dips which were excellent! The chicken wings weren’t too shabby and it comes with blue cheese sauce if you’re a fan. The salad we ordered was with rocket, hazelnuts, and goats cheese. Yum! The salad was a decent portion. You can never go wrong with pizza here though. I ordered the X-Rated Prawn Chilli pizza that had marinated prawns, capsicum, jalapeños, smoked tomatoes, and chilli flakes topped with fresh chill sauce. It wasn’t that hot for me but my tolerance is quite high. One pizza is pretty large and can easily fill one person up. If you’re super hungry I can see ordering a side as a necessity but more than not, one pizza should fill on person. Drink wise– you can order anything under the sun as their selection is massive! I loved their iced tea though which may be easily passed over on the menu. It’s quieter upstairs on the balcony if you can score a table out there. Great spot in West End where you’ll have good food in a cool atmosphere and then can head to many other bars in the area for night caps!

Everything on the menu is quite yummy, but as others have said, come here for the pizza. The menu is fun and will test your pop culture trivia as you try to decide, with quirky names like the Steven Seagull(a pizza featuring fries as it’s shining star), the Bad Mutherfungi(my personal favourite — mushrooms, pancetta, and arugula), and the Phoenix(chipotle chicken, roast peppers, tomatoes, and jalapenos). With a rotating selection of beers on draft as well as a pretty extensive bottle and cider list(my favourite is the Cheeky Rascal with apples and raspberry) there seems to be a little something for everyone.

I recently made a stop by The Burrow again after arriving in West End and not having a reservation(never a good thing on a weekend!). Every other restaurant was booked out, so we ended up heading to The Burrow for some pizza for dinner. We were close to not being seated, but were lucky and procured a couple of spots by the window after a short wait! I ordered the Big Voodoo Daddy(22) with chorizo, chicken, and BBQ, and Jess had the Bloody Margherita!, a basic margherita pizza. I liked mine better for the BBQ sauce and flavor, but the margherita wasn’t bad either. It just wasn’t as good as other ones I’ve had in the past. The crust was extremely burnt, and even though I like a bit of carbon, this just made the whole pizza taste burnt! I wasn’t too happy and was going to complain, but decided against it on such a busy day. Their crust is crunchy and the perfect thickness, but they need to watch their pizzas even on busy days… The service was friendly and and prompt as before, so at least that is consistent!
