not sure if the address for these guys is current. They used to be down near Bunnings, now they are up nearly opposite the Caltex in Mann’s Rd. Anyway, I had my pink slip done here recently and discovered that scheduled services on my European car are MUCH cheaper here than at VW. I’m talking 100s of dollars less. The «guy» (manager? Owner?) impressed me too.
Just had my 100,000 service and I’m still happy. Darrin has had loads of experience with Euro cars and for example offered me the info that if we opt to replace my water pump before it breaks (which they do in this model Jetta at around 120 000 due to a plastic part which is brass in the replacement!), I will save a heap because the timing chain is due to be replaced at 120 000 and it allows easy access to the water pump, instead of a BIG service charge twice– once when the timing chain is scheduled to be replaced, and again when the plastic impeller fails! I reckon that kind of communication and useful info is worth so much.
I will keep this updated if my impressions change but so far I really like this business!
