I’ve been here many of times, but the last time I did come here there was one girl serving at the counter taking orders, one man behind the bar and then about 2 – 4 others walking around chatting. There were about 10 parties waiting to be seated, as it asks you to wait, I continued to wait for 10 minutes before I walked out.
It’s not like they couldn’t see the long line of people waiting and there were quiet a few people commenting on how the staff were just walking around and chatting.
It’s put me off going here again.

When I went for tea tonight very happy with my meal give a 10⁄10 for the meal but had salads and sorry it was only worth a 1⁄10 because it was very bland and had no taste even one of the staff tried some and even agreed with me but said chef said they can only use what they are given to use well if thats the case chef has no control on the food which is wrong the chef should be in control of the food nobody else

Would I come here for a couple quiet ones after work, sure. Would I come here for drinks with the boys, probly not.
Its good, but not great.
It’s not that there’s anything bad about the place, its just there’s nothing great about it either. Sure they’ve got the TVs and couches with sports all the time, and a well stocked tasty salad & veg bar, the truck specials are great value for a quick eat… But it’s that there’s something in the air, or maybe its the nothing in the air that makes this place just a little ‘eh’

The Bartley is a little off of the conventional beaten track. Although Bartley Terrace is used by many, it isn’t regarded as a major road, however the Bartley is a MAJOR sized pub!
With a sizable Pokie area, and equally as impressive bar and reataurant ‘zones’ The Bartley Tavern can definately handle a big crowd and it generally does for lunches and dinners on the weekends.
One of the few pubs I have attended and not consumed copious amounts of Amber Nectar, is a little modern for my tastes. That is not to say that the place is ultra upgraded or has weird neon lights everywhere, it is just designed to cater to its most common cliental i.e. families. It lacks a bit of ‘feel’ for me, but thats the type of consumer I am!
