Delicious lavender flavored scone served with lavender raspberry jam and cream and a scoop of lavender ice cream are a must when you go to this place. The place also sells lavender flavored condiments, bath and beauty products and even lavender sugar.

Go for the High Tea — reasonably priced at $ 20pp. Nice indoor and outdoor setting. Gifts are a little overpriced tho.

I had an Internet sneak peak at this café/restaurant before I set foot in the place. I was immensely impressed by what their website promised and equally impressed by the reality of this cute cottage café. Cape Lavender have a dream — and they’re slowly yet surely achieving it. They want to take over the world with lavender. Not in a nasty, evil scientist way. More in a ‘we’re the biggest lavender farm in the entire world’ sort of way. Much more mundane and a little bit less exciting, I know. Still, Cape Lavender is a pretty cool place to visit. Their café boasts six Gold Plate Winning Restaurant Awards, a Sunday Times Reader’s Award and a Customer Service Council individual staff member award for excellent service. World domination has began, it would seem. I found the service here was nothing short of excellent and the price tag for such quality totally impressed me. Ten to twenty bucks will get you a decent snack or meal from Cape Lavender. I would highly recommend the nachos — fifteen dollars worth of pure divinity. Also, watch out for sneaky splashes of lavender throughout the menu. Stop at the gift shop on your way out — especially if you’re in dire need of the perfect present for that special occasion. Natural lavender products and lavender inspired arts and crafts make great and relatively inexpensive gifts. There’s also a men’s and baby’s section. World domination in the form of lavender — now there’s a new concept to get your mind around.
