Hobson Bay Fish & Chip Shop

Do you like it when told minimum chips is too much for one person? I’m paying for it and therefore I want what I ask for. But taking his advice I went along with half chips. I guess I could be eating less chips than I should anyway.
Yep, it’s pretty standard fish & chips shop, you have the usual suspects on the menu and although I’ve yet to try their hamburgers, I’ve a feeling they must be alright seeing them being made for another customer whilst waiting for my single person order of half chips and blue gren. Saw the beef patties being flattened from a ball of mince each on the grill so at least it wasn’t pre– made slivers with peel away paper.
My fish was so-​so, I don’t think it’s beer batter just maybe stock standard flour, egg and water. Chips were a bit underdone and definitely not crispy outside fluffy inside. One or two were definitely not cooked.
There’s better places yet. Oh, staff weren’t friendly to me. Felt like they’d rather be somewhere else. But he was right, half chips are still sitting in my tum tum two hours later.

Fairly standard fish & chip shop, my favourite in the area. Great, chunky chips cooked perfectly. Pretty yummy fish, too. Friendly staff.
