Are you looking for an amazing place with a great vibe, where you can roast your own marshmallows over a delightfully toasty open fire, with delectably delicious beverages & wonderful, polite staff? This is the place for you. I’m glad we stumbled upon this lovely pub on Chapel Street. I had an unbelievably brilliant experience & without a doubt, would definitely return again & again.

Cape Schank Pinot Gris isn’t that nice! Phew! I sure am glad that I got that out of my system! Now this place isnt one of those new emerging pretentious places on the Windsor end of Chapel Street. No not at all. When you arrive, expect a grungey no frills experience. But with that comes a low attitude venue that has an expansive outside area(which is perfect for a warm day). Havent tried the food, but I hear there is a $ 4 pizza special for the penny wise!

This place is nice and relaxed with a fairly reasonable happy hour. I’ve payed it a few visits now and each time I’ve enjoyed myself. There’s a few to select from on the tap and its a full bar capable of making exactly which drink you want. Nice atoms, I might come here to watch the footy in the near future.

Happy Hour and $ 4 pizza? Yes please! The Holy Grail is stylishly decked out and the bar well stocked. The vibe is friendly and fun. Its a great place to grab a drink or two… or three! Happy hour is 5pm-7pm EVERY day, yes even weekends, do you know how rare that is? Do you? The previously mentioned $ 4 pizza is on the small side, and is rather salty. But also tasty and a perfect bar snack. The cocktail list is tidy and the Holy Grail of cocktails(see what I did there?) delightful but what made me truly excited? Infused vodka. Candy cane vodka. Christmas in a glass. Redskin vodka. Childhood in a glass. Really how could you not try it? Located on the Windsor end of Chapel Street, this is a great place to grab drink before heading to a screening at The Astor! Happy Hour 7 days a week and candy infused vodka! A thousand times yes.

Holy Grail is quite a spacious venue, large plush white couches, exposed brick walls and most importantly a hell of a happy hour! From 5pm — 8pm everyday you can get yourself $ 3 wines and $ 3.50 local beers, not to mention $ 4 pizza if your feeling peckish as well. The pizzas are are a good size and come out very quickly. The staff are friendly and always up for a chat(especially if it’s quiet). They will often be more than happy to make you up some sort of custom cocktail if nothing on happy hour offer takes your fancy. Holy Grail is great for a casual catch up, they don’t have live entertainment but there is always some good background music as well as great view of Chapel Street for people watching.

Our Tuesday night out seemed bland. We dragged ourselves out of the house and ventured down Chapel Street. We found something unexpected. Something i like to call the ‘South-side Bimbos’. The venue comes across upper class but is quite casual. The interior has real chique feel, brick walls, black carpet and white sofa’s; a dream on a hot summers day, will definitely be back to enjoy the sunshine at Holygrail. The reason why i compare this to ‘Bimbos’ is because they do $ 4 pizza’s, while not as great as it’s north side comparator, pizza’s are still well prepared and yummy, I got the margarita(being a vegetarian does have its low points, this was the only vegie option). We downed a couple of the one size only pizza’s(the size of a standard dinner plate) and a few pints of cider. The staff were kind and had a good chat with us.

I had my bday party this year at Holy Grail and adored the venue. It seems an unassuming pub from outside, but inside is all plush seating and stylish pressed tin roofs. It;s the kinda place that would suit a 3−4th date, where you still wanna go out in public, but want to be able to sit close and talk. Music is ambient, not crazy loud. They specialise in small pizzas, often running specials and offering foursquare checkin deals etc. In organising the party, they were super helpful in roping off a side section of the bar for me. Some friends overseas had also arranged for a surprise bottle of champagne to be brought out to me, and they handled this beautifully — even writing a card out! Definitely my go-to bar on Chapel.
