Burger — very ordinary. Curly fries ok. Service comes with no ketchup or napkins. And don’t bother asking for the key to the toilet as they have lost it,

This is a straight up burger joint, no fancy décor, situated in a local shopping arcade. If you like your burgers dripping in grease, then this is the place for you. Actually it would probably be a great place to go post-hangover. The chip options are pretty awesome with a great selection of sauces to go with. They stuffed up our order a bit, the wrong type of fries with each others plates which meant we bit into each others burgers without realiseing we had the wrong ones. Although it didn’t take me long, because I didn’t order the spicy one and though wow, I didn’t know a basic cheeseburger came with spice these days. This was easilty sorted by swapping burgers and we carried on without a fuss. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back again, but if I happened to be in the area I may pop in for the chips alone.

Can I take back my previous review? Under the new management the food has become more expensive, less tasty, and the service is very poor. Really disappointed.

We ordered: 2 x Chompers Burgers 2 x Chips 2 x drinks 1 x strawberry milkshake 2 x Deep Fried Mars Bars I thought the food was very tasty, but the meat-to-bun ratio was off — so order an extra patty. Took a long time at the register making my order but once the food arrived, it was quick and yum! Recommended when you need some greasy food!

I dont rate this place at all. Food is terrible the chompers at oxley is fantastic. This proves not all franchises taste the same. The food is below par. Worst fish and chips ever. They dont toast the best for the steak sandwiches.

I visited Chompers recently while I had family staying with me from interstate. We were looking forward to a cheap and easy takeaway meal. I ordered a steak sandwich. Both of my companions ordered burgers, and chips to share. I was impressed by the menu selection — a huge range of different types of chips, and various burger options as well as some desserts. The food we received was average. Certainly nothing to rave about. Not bad in any way — I would say that the food we received just scraped in as satisfactory. Annoyingly, even though we ordered at the same time, our food came out at different times, and it was approximately 15 minutes between receiving the first and the last piece of the order. This was a bit of a pain on a cold night, with the food cooling while we waited. I found the prices fairly reasonable, although some of the menu items I thought were priced on the high side. Overall, I wasn’t «disappointed», but I wasn’t far off it. I won’t avoid this business in future, but I won’t be going out of my way to go there again either.

Crazy feed Great for a hangover Great for a full sick feeling Wouldn’t be crazy on going again, more of a novelty ‘go there once’ sort of place Curly fries ‘cheesed’ hit the spot for two mouthfuls Least the meat pattys were really good quality, the service was friendly & our food was on our tables quick!

Vegetarians beware. This is not the place for you if you aren’t a fan of as Pete D. said, over the top Americano burgers. Double, Triple, Cheese covered triple bacon filled greased up whatchamaccalits. With Burgers called Insano this place is pretty deep fried. The hamburgers are just over $ 6 and you can get a Special Pack fish and chips with calamari and chips for $ 12 and it isn’t bad at all. Lunchtimes usually see you waiting a good 10 minutes for your food as well. The food isn’t super awesome, it is deep fried typical american cultured culinary cuisine. Large portions, ok prices — if you’re into it. They also have a cool assortment of Jelly Belly softdrink and yes, they also do deep fried Mars Bars. Wouldn’t really recommend it everyday, weekly or monthly if you’re on a health kick… maybe a once a year thing. Unless you’re into this kind of food. They also have a website you can place orders on to avoid the waiting time.

Literally the most over the top, unhealthy meal you can force into your mouth in Brisbane. Everything is greased up, deep fried or sickly sweet.(That’s the point). Chompers delights in making the most obscene(there’s a burger called the obscen-o) fast food with burgers, fries and milkshakes.(the milkshakes are malted by default, of course). There’s the beef burgers that can have double or triple patties, and even have the bun replaced by a glazed donut. There’s the campfire milkshake, complete with roasted marshmallows. And not to be forgotten, deep fried oreos and mars bars. My experience was one of trepidation, momentary delight, and hours of regret. Approach with caution, and go jogging for 8 hours afterwards.
