Soy flat white isn’t bad. Banana bread is yummy. Friendly staff, great area out the back in garden to sit– quick coffee production– and a menu I would like to explore more!

Nice simple café that does a bit of breakfasty food(plus the usual cakes and wraps from the cabinet).

They’ve got nice coffee, and salty or sweet treats, this seems to be the place where locals come to meet. The avo toast is perfect for a morning snack, and the iced coffee goes right down the hatch! They’ve got sandwiches and wraps, cold sodas in the fridge– something fresh for everyone, the adults and the kids. No Wifi and only a little A/C(so not the place to work). But the staff seem quite friendly: an added perk.

Positives I found is open early and decent selection for breakfast. Location is good and the locals talk to each other, which is a pleasant change from other cafes. That properly explains why I received a cool reception because I’m not local and I’m in my bikie gear. Eggs Benedict was average but well presented and fresh eggs/bacon. Coffee was decent. I’d only have to take a star off for the cool reception, being referred to as ‘that bikie guy outside’, and the blonde waitress could smile a bit more.

Coffee from Evo has to be some of the best in Brisbane. Just a hole-in-the-wall in a humble row of shops in Yeronga, Evo doesn’t need to rely on having a trendy, grungy fit-out or an inner city location; they know coffee and they do it well. Using organic beans, owner, Steve, loves his coffee and prides Evo on producing a perfect one every time. Because of this, he is personally acquainted with nearly all his customers. The atmosphere there is like what you’d expect from a small town café – there’s a strong sense of community and the happiness of his staff lays testament to the kind of establishment Steve runs. Steve keeps a limited range of home-made sweets in store, like muffins and biscuits, but the real focus here is on coffee, not food. If you live in the area, go and get your caffeine hit from Evo – it won’t disappoint!
