Especially now, when the warmer season starts this is THE typical «Heurigen» — Austrian Tavern — located here since 1693 and developed in 1996 this place combines traditional Austrian cuisine with friendliness, hospitality and coziness.
Here you can find the «REAL» Austrian Schnitzel, «Backhendl» — chicken «Schnitzel style» and other Austrian specialities and of course the local wines.
All the wines come from the family viniculture.
Since Roman times the tradition is that when the «Heurigen» or the inn is open, there is a beam with some green sticking out of the house and you will find at the entrance of the city or village singes showing the name of the place and the word «Ausgesteckt».
Besides you can also visit Kottingbrunn Castle with its Romand and empire’s museum and the castle court with its many little lakes.
Heurigen Ednitsch is now open till March 12^th.
The smell of fresh, juicy food, the laughter of children playing at the Heurigen’s playground and a colourful appearance with lots of green is always the sign for a good place to eat.
