I didn’t know I loved cupcakes till I set foot in this place. To be honest, I’m not too big on cakes usually because the moment I’ll start eating one, I won’t be able to continue after one bite. Many of the cakes I had eaten in the past were indeed somehow heavy on the stomach and made it hard for me to appreciate them. That’s what I was also afraid of with cupcakes, which is why I didn’t exactly know what to expect when I went to CupCakes Wien for the first time. I figured I should at least try their products before dismissing them, and I did. And boy was I pleasantly surprised! So far, I can say that I’ve tried a lot of their available cupcakes and I can admit that I’ve become a fan, a huge fan. Their cremes are always really light and the cupcakes themselves just taste really good. They definitely know what they’re doing and you can taste the experience. Also, there’s something else I can appreciate and that’s the fact that for each product they have, you know if there’s a specific allergen to look out for. Having an allergy myself, I find this reassuring, and I can always ask the cashier if there’s any doubt in my mind about the exact ingredients used for the cupcakes. In the end, I’m afraid to say that CupCakes Wien has made be a cupcakes addict, something I would never have expected to happen in my lifetime. Damn you and your tasty cupcakes, you make me want to come back to your shop every week!

Muss also was dran sein. Kommen bestimmt bald wieder vorbei :)

Zudem preislich top. Sehr empfehlenswert!

SOFUMMY!!! FUMMY = Fantastically YUMMY! This Cupcake shop is the cutest thing on the planet! All pink-ed out with about 20 different cupcake flavors to choose from, and if one is out, its replace with new and exciting flavors. Don’t forget that the cupcake shop is in the Mumok Museum. Even if you aren’t coming for a walk-through the museum, make sure you come here for a quick cupcake, in their cutesy café, and have a warm beverage/tea! You can also buy cupcakes to go or make orders for a catering event/party! My only complaint, is the hefty price for each cupcake, but at least the size of each one is substantial. P. S. Thanks for the free water after all that sugar. They have jugs & glasses on the counter, which was much appreciated!

Cupcakes Wien is a super shabby chique café cupcake spot in the Mumok Museum at MQ. It was perfect for my girlie catch-up session with a friend and I was pleased to see savory cupcakes on the menu as well as sweet. I tried the lachs/spinach cupcake and it was great for a midday snack. The coffee is tasty as well, but there was no actual service. There was a nice girl behind the counter and she couldn’t leave to serve anything, but was kind enough to bring us our coffee after we asked. They weren’t busy at the time. After a while it did get busy and I am not sure why they don’t have more servers. It isn‘t clear what you actually have to do when arriving. Go to the counter no matter what when you get there. And they don’t replenish cupcakes when they are out, so go early it you want to best picks of the day! I went home with a seasonal specialty vanilla cookie cupcake and an oreo cookie version. They weren’t overly sweet and at almost four euros a piece, worth every calorie!

A cute little cupcake café in the MUMOK museum at the MQ. The interior is very quaint and inviting. The furniture is sleek and simple white and the pillows and dishes are nice specks of color. It makes you smile. They don’t just have creative sweet cupcakes — gingerbread, Heisse Liebe, etc — but also savory ones — feta, salmon, tomato basil, etc. I had the savory cupcake with a salmon cream cheese topping. It was a delightful snack. I can’t wait to try the sweet ones! Prices are reasonable at € 3,90 per cupcake. Plus: the entire café is non-smoking The reason for the missing 5th star: it’s self service. I never enjoy having to carry my food and drinks across the room on the search for a free table.

This cute little cupcake shop in mumok surprised me. The décor of the café is adorable. They have a wide selection of cupcakes from many variations of dessert cupcakes to several savory ones as well. I only tried the spinach savory cupcake with sour cream and salmon. The actual cupcake part was a little dry though. I only wish I could have done a cupcake workshop here. If you’re visiting mumok for the exhibitions, it’s definitely worth spending a few euros to try one of their cupcakes(or two, or three) and sit in the café for awhile.

This Cupcake shop recently opened in Mumok, as an extension of their current shops in Josefstädterstraße 17& Albertgasse 17. Located on the first floor of Mumok, it has a slightly hidden location. Nevertheless the interior is quite stylish & the presentation of cupcakes has an artistry flair to it. We were served a delightful finger-food before the start of our cupcake workshop. Our instructor of the day was quite patient & friendly. Since the chocolate cupcakes was already baked in advance, we were taught different ways to decorate them with tools & colorful icing. The 2 hours passed quite fast & in the end, we were allowed to bring home our decorated delicious cupcakes. Overall a perfect place for nice quiet teatime with yummy cupcakes.
