An absolute gem.
If you are visiting the Middelheim Museum — make sure to save some time for the very friendly Café Mika.
As it was a cold and blustery day in November, we did not get to experience the lovely patio and open air overlooking the park. However, I do suggest that when the weather cooperates. Plenty of space and room to take in the fresh air.
We were not very disappointed though — the inside of Café Mika is warm, cozy, friendly and very stylish. A perfect place to enjoy a meal, a coffee or a drink. So pleasant. A welcome warm-​up break after trekking around the park (in very high winds!).
We enjoyed a shared lunch of pesto pasta, a cheese sandwich, pumpkin soup, some beer (La Chouffe!), wine, and a cappuccino. All were very nice, and the entire lot for under 30 euro, not bad at all.
Service was friendly, vibe wonderful. Clean restrooms. What’s not to love?!
