After seeing the great reviews on Unilocal! And being an avid Mexican food lover, I decided to go and try out El Nacho Libre — even though I live in Amsterdam. It is a lot smaller than anticipated but still a handful of tables inside and outside, if you can brave the wind! Let’s start with the most important part: the guacamole. This is how i judge the quality of the food that is yet to come — how the guacamole is prepared(and the quality of the chips). The good news is — the guacamole is DELICIOUS! Fresh, amazing and full of flavor. Why are they full of flavor? Imported from Peru and not Morocco. Yes, i asked. The chips were also fresh and tasty, not from a massive bag that has a lifetime expiration date! The rest of the menu offers a variety of nachos, tacos, burritos, etc. Tacos and Burritos are very tasty, but not enough to satisfy on their own. Try ordering a few different items and share if you are with friends. I give this three stars because the food shouldn’t be served in foil if it’s to stay — and it needs to be accompanied by beans and rice. Also, the prices didn’t equate the quantity of food. Lunch time i think this is a perfect spot, dinner I would suggest something for substantial!
