Rubens Tavern is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a nice meal when visiting lovely Antwerp. We are housed in the old and magnificent ‘Hansahuis’ in the old historic centre and offer a wide range of Belgian beers and local Flemish dishes on top of our international menu.
History
Established in 2011.
Rubens Tavern is named after world famous Flemish Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens (1577 – 1640) who lived and worked in Antwerp in the early 17th century.
We are housed in the old and magnificent ‘Hansahuis’, once the seat of the German Hanze in Antwerp, and located in the old historic centre of Antwerp within close walking distance of the city’s major historic landmarks and museums such as: the Grote Markt, Town Hall, Cathedral of Our Lady, Steenpoort, the MAS, Red Star Line museum and many more …
