History

Established in 2011.

Rubens Tavern is named after world famous Flemish Baroque painter Peter Paul Rubens (1577 – 1640) who lived and worked in Antwerp in the early 17th century.

We are housed in the old and magnificent ‘Hansahuis’, once the seat of the German Hanze in Antwerp, and located in the old historic centre of Antwerp within close walking distance of the city’s major historic landmarks and museums such as: the Grote Markt, Town Hall, Cathedral of Our Lady, Steenpoort, the MAS, Red Star Line museum and many more …
