If I could give this location zero stars I would. First, the menu here is very small, we ordered the pork buns, and were later told they were out. Then we went to pay and the waitress could not figure out how to work the credit card machine. At this point she demanded we pay in cash. We did not have cash on us so she told us to find a cash machine. We got up to go get cash, and she demanded one of us stay in the restaurant. My husband left his license, without any acknowledgment of the inconvenience I said something to the waitress and cook, the only two people working. The response was well what do you want is to do… Um apologize, acknowledge, etc. Do yourself a favor and go to the other location. The workers here could care les about their patrons.

Delicious — best ramen I have had. I had the spicy ramen and it was super tasty without being too salty. Gyoza was good — nothing special, but it did the trick. Great location to sit outside and people watch. Good service. Prices were a little high but worth it. Love it!

Nice Ramen bar. Friendly and quick service, well-prepared food, quiet atmosphere. Loved the kimchi. Pork buns are excellent. Just one thing — I’d love the opportunity to pimp my ramen extra spices or lime or so. Will definitely come back.

Super restaurant, ambiance chaleureuse, on y mange bien.

I had really high hopes when I first heard about Umamido. A good ramen restaurant is something I really miss from living in the States. The prices are a bit high compared to what I’m used to in America — 7 euro pork buns and 15 euro bowls of ramen. That said, the pork buns are fantastic! By far the most delicious part of my meal. I have to say, though, I’m a bit jealous when I compare the pork buns I received with the pictures I’m seeing now on Unilocal — I would have loved more pickled cucumber and scallions! Perhaps it’s because the usual chef wasn’t working that evening. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. It was very good, but not the best I’ve ever had(a bit salty and not enough vegetables). I’d definitely go back again!

Had the steamed pork buns followed by the shoyu ramen with extra kimchi. The positives: nice little spice to the pork buns, the kale added to the ramen and the noodles themselves were good. The disappointments: the egg wasn’t marinated, the pork is suited for western tastes(less fat), the kimchi wasn’t very fresh, one steamed pork bun had water condensation and the price(about 50% more than what you would pay in the US). Having said all of that, it is definitely on my list of places to go when I have a craving and I’m looking forward to trying the other dishes.
