Hard to choose between all the extra options, all super pure, fresh, tasty and made with love. The extremely pleasant staff makes this artsy restaurant a true gem. Bring cash though since they don’t accept plastic.

A real discovery. Visited Life is Art with a group of 10, all former colleagues who have agreed to keep seeing each other every six months. This place I got to discover is a real gem. First of all in one of the cosiest streets in Antwerp, close to the Leien and Nationale Bank(no worries for parking). When entering you feel immediately at home. The place is cosy and your welcomed by the owner himself. Once seated, cocktails are ordered instantly and your thirst is quenched immediately with a side of one of the best portion of marinated olives I’ve ever tasted. First course where actually four different small dishes, some cold, some chaud-froid and some where warm. We had some vitello tomato, followed by salmon/scallops, Tortelloni stuffed with Ricotta/trufle and mushrooms and Asparagus flemish style. The dishes where shared with all our company which was even leveraged the conversation and sharing of meal and stories of our company of 10. Main course was either steak, tuna, cod or pork cheeks. Pork cheeks, when cooked correctly and stewed for some hours, are actually one of the best cuts. So I ordered the latter. The stew marinated in an old style belgian beer, came with a side of baked potatoes. Dessert was a classic«Dame Blanche» Vanilla with hot Chocolate which finished one of the best«no nonsense» dinner experience which I had in some time. Service at the table was warm and friendly in the same way as the food. Everything made you feel good inside. The bill, which was in view of quality and quantity, very fair for a complete dinner experience This was my first visit and we were with a fairly large party, I don’t know whether the dinner formula is always possible, but I wouldn’t hold back to try out the place with smaller company. Kudos to owner, kitchen and waiting staff. Hope to be back soon.
