Our experience at this 4 Star hotel in November was just delightful. After moving from the lackluster Hotel Adornes, where we were very dissatisfied, and mentioning this to the staff; our dog, my husband and I were welcomed graciously and given their only suite. It was a GORGEOUS room, more like an apartment, filled with beautiful antiques and a huge bathroom and bathtub. It was so quiet with the most comfortable king size bed. I slept better here than I sleep at home. I didn’t want to leave. and did I mention breakfast? I didn’t know hotel breakfasts could be this yummy. The staff were always very accommodating and friendly and really made us feel welcome. I look forward to returning again next winter. This hotel is in my top five favorites EVER.

This hotel is very picturesque as many of the other reviewers have mentioned. The architecture and décor are lovely. The lovely atmosphere of the place also made me not even care that there was no air conditioning(I love my AC). However, my biggest issue was that due to there being no AC, we had to leave our windows open at night and being on the ground floor made it a horrible experience. The two nights we were at Ter Brughe were the worst nights of sleep I had during our 10-day trip. Each night, people would mill around outside our window and be talking and yelling loudly. We wouldn’t get peace and quiet until 2AM or later. We asked the front desk if they could ask the people loitering outside to move and he said no and that they would likely leave soon… but at that point it was already past midnight and we had been tossing and turning and trying to ignore all the noise outside for an hour or more.

This picturesque 14th century hotel is really as close as you’re ever going to come to living like The Lord of the Manor. Or at least as close as I will ever come. Nestled right next to the canal, this hotel is just a short walk to the town center. I love this for you’re ensconced in the old city without having to deal with a ton of tourist Not only is the location excellent, but the rooms are filled with old world charm that makes for one of the most superb stays that I have had in a long time. I almost felt as if I had been transported back in time with my room’s charming décor. Also, they offer an amazing breakfast which is not to be missed, just the thing to fortify you for a day of Brugge exploration.

It’s an older hotel that looks like it might be haunted, which is part of its appeal. The décor is like spending the weekend in your grandma’s guest room, complete with TV circa 1980. The shower is a shower nozzle that you have to use while squatting in the tub, which means that you will be taking what is commonly referred to as a «whore bath», lest you get water all over the place. It’s located near a picturesque bridge and is just a ten minute walk to the downtown area of Brugge. I like that it was not in the thick of the tourist area, so it’s quiet, but close to shopping/sites/restaurants/bars.

I booked this hotel on Hotwire, I wanted something that would include breakfast and Wi-Fi and be close to town. This was a very charming spot, right next to a canal in a very old building from the 14th Century. The worst thing was is that I was woken up early every morning by the smell of fresh baked breat waifting up to my room ;) The room was small and there was a bath tub with a shower sprayer but no curtain, not really very easy to bathe when you want a shower but we dealt with that. The breakfast was very nice with fresh baked goods of course, fruit, eggs, meat and cheese.
