I was looking for reasons to pick this place apart because of how expensive I found it to be, but I can’t. It’s super beautiful, great atmosphere, delicious food, and the proprietor was very charming and nice. I’d definitely go back.

Passable but overpriced with mediocre food. Really not great and service is slow although friendly. Much better restaurants in the area.

Yum! Found this place thanks to Unilocal, just a short walk from our hotel(which was appreciated in the cold). The place was packed when we arrived! I’d advise making reservations if possible. Thankfully there was one small table for 2 left and we snagged it. Service was great. Food was delicious. I opted for the spicy shrimp diablo. So good. And even better because I got to have some fries from my friend’s meatballs. And, of course, there was beer. Lots of beer. Lovely dinner experience. Try it out if you’re in the area.

Wonderfully quaint restaurant with lots of character, young and knowledgeable staff, and superior traditional food. We had two kinds of mussels, meatballs in the traditional way, and bratwurst with mixed potatoes and vegetables. Good selection of seasonal and local beers.

Eating here was the best part of a wonderful stay in Bruge. We were looking for something genuinely Belgian, and there were plenty of options but this placed looked very welcoming from the outside and in we went. The atmosphere is romantic and relaxed, the staff are eager to help and the food is superb. We got a three course set menu and really enjoyed every dish in it. We also had drinks and at the end of the night they gave us a large bar of Belgian chocolate absolutely free! I can’t recommend this place highly enough, so five stars.

If you want a local belgian dish with an american style service this place is for you! We happen to find this place by chance as we were just going for a walk around bruges trying to figure out where to eat dinner. This place is hidden in a cobblestone alletyway and not very advertised. The restaurant itself was very randomly decorated and they set us by a small table with leather chairs and we enjoyed our candle lit dinner. The menu was only in flemish/french but the server spoke really good english and helped us out. The prices at the Habit were slightly lower from all the restaurants we came accross that evening. We got the special three course meal. I got the prawns in garlic sauce and the flemish beef stew followed up by crème brûlée. The meal was delicious and the waitress was really sweet to us and kept checking on us which is very rare in continental europe(comparing to all the other Brugge restaurants the service here was outstanding). She also gave us a chocolate bar with our check which was sweet. Also, the drinks menu was VERY well priced. I got a martini for 3 euro and my boyfriend’s beer was about the same price. If you want a nice romatic meal with your significant other while not going broke, this is the place for you!
