Convenient location, good food, ok service. Just a few steps away from some famous chocolate stores. When I visited, this little restaurant saved me from coldness and starvation. The shrimp pasta was delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Not a place that I would venture out for but I’m glad it’s there when I needed it.

We were cold, ravenous, and fatigued. Moreover, it was approaching ten o’clock, and the number of establishments serving food was quickly dwindling. So we were grateful when they took us in, perhaps even after the time they normally stop serving, judging by our hostess/waitress’ quick conference with the chef. We were grateful for their heat, for their complementary bread, and for a place to rest our feet. So the tomato bisque and the hearty but well-presented carbonara paired with a fine Belgian brew were gratuitous and were enjoyed as such. It’s a tablecloth affair, and the pasta, seafood, and steak menu stays in the upper end of the ten to twenty euro range. The space is intimate, and several businessmen enjoying an unhurried evening of dinner, dessert, drinks, and quiet conversation were our only company. It gave us the sustenance for the final leg of our walk through the dark, cold Brussels streets, and we won’t forget it. Still, as Audrey says, it probably wouldn’t appear on a culinary tour of Brussels.

Cela fait maintenant deux fois que j’ai été manger dans ce restaurant au sablon, on l’avait choisi pour un rapport qualité/prix abordable dans le quatier du sablon… Aucune déception, un service très bien organisé, une très belle présentation dans l’assiette mais surtout une cuisson qui correspond aux attentes du client. Pour ma part, j’ai tester le pavé(ok, aucun souci), les scampis(manquait d’ail pour moi). Attention parfois, je suis toujours surpris de recevoir une pomme de terre en chemise en accompagnant le plat, c’est à vous de demander autre chose, car c’est mis d’office dans les plats. Côté déco, c’est sobre et propre mais surtout facile d’accès. J’ai toujours eu de la place sans réserver(le dimanche soir principalement). A visiter !

Came here after being referred by the hotel staff who said it was, «good quality for the price.» The food was all right, but nothing amazing. They have your standard carpaccios, pastas, lamb, sausage, salmon, and tomato bisque. Nothing in particular stood out about any of the dishes, although they were all nicely presented and tasted as expected for a tablecloth restaurant. Surprisingly, there were no mussels on the menu, which are supposed to be in season during any month with an ‘r’ in it. We were there in early OctobeR. The waitress told us that they weren’t serving mussels anymore, because they weren’t in season. Lies! She could’ve at least been honest with us instead of trying to trick us like foreigners. We may be tourists, but we know how to use google. The dishes were about 15 – 20 euros and appetizers were around 10 – 15 euros. A bowl of soup ran us 6 euros. I would say the prices were pretty reasonable overall. The restaurant was very nicely decorated inside — definitely more of a fine dining feel to it, although you could still wear jeans and sneakers. Oddly enough, they were playing top 40s tunes including«sexy back,» which did not seem to match the more refined atmosphere. We guessed that perhaps the waitress was playing the music she liked to hear. If you only have one dinner in Brussels, I’m sure there are other restaurants worth your while than Cap Sablon. Just make sure they’re open! Many restaurants and shops tend to close on Sundays, but Cap Sablon was open. =)

Petit et bon Petit restaurant situé dans un quartier qui n’est plus à présenter… Le lieu est petit mais on y mange bien, il y a du choix les plats sont corrects tant en quantité qu’en qualité. Le cadre est classique, le service est correct.
