We went here one beautiful April morning only to find it was full. There was one table about to open, but we were told they had a reservation, so sorry they didn’t have any room. We felt a little turned away and awkward(typically where we are from they would have said«but if you’d like to wait a little while or put your name on a list we’d be happy to get you in…» But instead we walked out feeling kinda blah. We had been walking down the street for about two full minutes when suddenly this guy comes running up behind us and says«hey we can actually get you in at that table, it’s not big enough for our reservation anyway!» That was a pretty huge turn around for us, a total mindblast. He really ran a long way to grab us. So we happily returned with this young gentleman who turned out to be our server. We ordered the I love you a latte formule/combo thing and split it. It was fantastic as were the lattes. Best hard boiled egg I’ve ever had, seriously! Four stars for the awesome food and an extra star for our server whose name I never caught sadly.

Great spot for breakfast or a light lunch. Our host recommended it and we enjoyed it so much we returned for a meal the very next day. I ordered a simple breakfast of multigrain bread, butter, cheese, meat, and fresh fruit. It also came with coffee but I ordered the Latte Over the TOP so I was charged an extra 2 euro(normally 4). The latte certainly looked over the top. Starbucks has nothing on them. Whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and speculoos crumbles. However, the actual drink was not as impressive. Tasty, but I was looking for something similar to a mocha and this was much lighter/blander. The breakfast was exactly what I wanted. It filled me up for my day of touring. The café is very bright and comfortable. Big tables means you might end up sitting next to strangers and polite conversation. Maybe even a puppy if you’re lucky like us.

Our host was right. This is a great breakfast spot. If I were a coffee fan, I might have tried their coffee too. It’s reputedly quite nice. I ordered the croque kaas with serrano ham for € 4. I was not expected such thick multigrain bread with lovely grill marks. It also came with tasty ketchup. I love dense bread. It was a great morning meal and lasted me many hours. Quite the deal!
