A tiny friendly campsite located in a very pretty town! I have to say that the campsite isn’t all the Jazz, but it really grew on me, I camped there twice on my way to Austria and really enjoyed it. It is situated next to a sports complex on the charming little Belgian town of Grimbergen and it doesn’t have a whole array of facilities, it has two toilet blocks, an open field for leisure and that’s about it. The owner is a very serious but nice man, which likes to do everything in his campsite and is very strict about his campsite. He lectured me on how I had to respect his new toilet complex(very decent and new) which cost him a lot of money :) But all in all he is very friendly, which I later discovered the reason why he was so disgruntled, no one wants to work on that region, so he has to do all by himself and his son, which I completely understand. Another bonus is the fact that it is very close to Brussels, in 10 minutes you are in the city center. This campsite is fairly cheap, it cost me around 16EUR for Two Persons+Tent+Car. And it is a very quiet site, you only hear birds around. I highly recommend a walking trip to the center of Grimbergen.
