Luigi’s Café

This was a lovely dinner. The scampi was heaven. Great salad. Perfect sangria :) even a friendly staff. Very pleased to have stopped here. Would return again and again if we could!

Luigi’s is considered the best student bar in the vicinity of the VUB by most students of the VUB fraternities. Since that world was an important part of my first years in Brussels, I still like it here as well.
Beer is often sold by the meter, half the patrons will be wearing the typical student ‘klak’. Almost every night one of the fraternities will be hosting some kind of event here, if there isn’t anything showing on the big screen, that is.
If student fraternities and folklore are not your style, this bar probably won’t be either. Often it is hard to tell who is actually working there, and the most exciting beer on the menu is Duvel…
I guess it’s just sheer nostalgia that earns Luigi’s an extra star… :)

Bön le Luigi’s c’est le bar estudiantin par excellent. On vient pas là pour l’ambiance chaleureuse ou la jolie déco, on y vient clairement pour la bière à 1,60 et le kicker. Ici, beaucoup de baptisés, des gens saouls, des chansons style TD… Mais après l’étudiante qui sommeille en moi aime toujours bien cette ambiance. Quand il s’agit de fêter la fin des exams c’est toujours marrant et puis on passé une soirée pour pas chère avec ses amis et est-​ce qu’on a vraiment besoin de plus dans ces moments là?

Bar étudiant ! Ambiance bruyante et déjanté… Amateurs de fêtes et de vie nocturne je recommande !
