The location and interior are good, but as soon as we entered we didn’t feel welcome at all, there were 3 other customers so it wasn’t busy at all(I guess why??) And even now the waitress didn’t have time to give us a friendly service. My company doesn’t know any dutch so I asked her if she has an English menu and she just moves her head, she doesn’t even have the manners to use her mouth. At this point we should’ve just stood up and leave, BUT. I have manners. Anyway, we ordered the soup of the day and Steak tartare. After waiting for 15 minutes the waitress THROWS a BAG of bread onto our table.(take-away bag) The soup of the day was«zucchini soup» but it’s in fact hot water with salt. Simply unable to eat. The steak Tartare was tasteless, it wasn’t bad, just… tasteless. But still, by far the worst one I’ve ever tried. When we asked the bill it was a different waitress who was slightly more friendly, our bill was 24,90 €, we gave 0,10 € tip(because the service and food was simply terrible) After that she didn’t even say goodbye, just nod her head. Advice to anyone reading this review and considering to visit: DONT do it. there’s a kebab shop just 100 meters ahead which even has much higher quality standards.

We really liked this café. **The service was very pleasant and friendly — they made our kids a pancake before the designated National Pancake Window of 14:00 — 18:00 that the country seems to abide by. **First time trying«bitterballen», which are basically fried balls of beef stew, and quite good. **I had Grimbeergen blond then bruin, on draft. In a nice side street just off of the Zimmerplein.
