Voilà un bel endroit, bien situé au bord du lac près du musée de Tervuren.
Nous y sommes allé l’après-midi pour prendre une glacé.
Notre commande a été oublié et malgré une nouvelle commande nous avons encore du attendre (presque une heure pour avoir une coupe de glacé)
Après ce que l’on nous apporte né correspondais pas à la description sur la carte…
Bref on nous apporte dans un pot une partie de ce qui manquait dans la préparation.
Après même si c’st bon on a difficile à être content et à les féliciter !

Well the view is nice, but very slow and indifferent service, dry and stale bread, chipped plates… had veggie salad that contained almost every conceivable type of greens on the planet but with a very bland taste as result, same for Salad Nicoise all types of ingredients not even remotely connected to a real Salad Nicoise… if you add Salad Nicoise on your menu, then serve a Salad Nicoise and not some odd creative interpretation…

Surplombant les étangs du parc de Tervuren, ce restaurant bénéficie d’un super cadre, autant dire qu’il est même idyllique .Ce qui rend le moment tout de suite plus agréable. J’ai eu la chance de me restaurer deux fois dans cet établissement. Autant vous dire que la carte est assez restreinte: 2 choix de salades, des croques, pâtes, poissons et plats typique belge. Donc oui effectivement si vous cherchez de la haute gastronomie, ce n’est pas la peine, mais pour une petite restauration en terrasse, je dis OUI ! J’ai opté la première fois pour un croque madame, il était bon j’en ai eu pour 8 euros il me semble (c’était deux croques et un peu de salade) et la deuxième fois pour une salade niçoise de thon frais (21 euros), plus cher cette fois-​ci mais le thon était délicieux rien a voir avec le thon en boîte.
L’accueil est agréable et trilingue. En soit nous sommes chez les flamands :)
Une bonne adresse à recommander pour passer un bon moment en dehors du temps. Petit plus pour la déco’ marinière :),

A perfect location for a drink or something to eat in the majestic parc of Tervuren. Overlooking the lakes you can choose from a extended menu either on the terrace or inside.
Unfortunately the Bootshuis has one downside: as it is the only place in the Parc of Tervuren where you can have a drink or something to eat, often it is so crowded that staff are unable to follow.
If they would get this under control, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Update in May 2016: I guess they did not get their operations under control as the place went bankrupt and closed down.

A really beautiful place to relax. It’s new, so you won’t find it on the Internet.
ATMOSPHERE/​/​Here, you’ll have a nice view over the lake and the park next to it. Inside there were modern toilets. But unfortunately they couldn’t manage cleaning them up in the afternoon.
FOOD/​/​Delicious and large helpings. I ordered a sandwich and got a foot-​long-​baguette.
SERVICE/​/​Very fast and friendly. Most of them were ambitious students working during their holidays. Best of all: they weren’t pushy!
PRICES/​/​Okay! Not too expensive.
