NEW Resto 1815

Came here with the family and some friends to try out their different menus. It happened to be a rather quiet night, though a Saturday, but that meant we got pampered by the staff, which evidently made our meal that much more pleasant.
There’s a private parking lot for the restaurant/​hotel, and although we had no trouble finding parking, I can see that it could get packed really quickly during a busy night or hotel season. However, there’s always parking available along the street leading to the Lion, but it can get a little tricky (especially for the ladies wearing heels, since it’s rather gravelly and can get muddy).
The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and with plenty of space. The food was absolutely delicious. They have two different types of pre-​set menus that can let you discover different dishes for a relatively good price (though still expensive, but that’s the type of restaurant it is), and plenty of other items a la carte as well. I had the lamb chops, which were amazing, and came with plenty of vegetables and a potato (I never like it when restaurants serve a dish that’s basically just meat, with perhaps three peas to make you feel a little more healthy). I also had the crème brûlée, which had pieces of pear in it – very interesting texture and taste.
1815 also has an extensive wine list, and though I didn’t have any, the other people at the table were very pleased with their choice (I apologize, I unfortunately don’t remember what it was).
All in all, I think this is a great place for a super fancy date (and in case both are too drunk to drive, they can always try to rent a room for the night, though I bet that might hurt the wallet a bit), or for a nice, once-​in-​a-​time get-​together with friends/​family/​colleagues. The staff was also very friendly, which is always a plus in my book.

Assez déçu… après un menu de Saint Valentin qui avait l’air appétissant ce fut la déception à l’arrivée…
Si les plats étaient de bonnes compositions il y eu de nombreux soucis: assiettes plus chaudes que leurs contenus et qui plus est sales, pintade encore crue par endroits et beaucoup trop salée, verres de vin arrivés après les deux entrées, une seule «assiette» de desserts pour deux avec une langue de chat qui goûtait la farine et beaucoup trop dure, un tiramisu se résumant à une épaisse tranche de mascarpone avec un peu de biscuit imbibé de café, une crème brûlée où les graines noires sensées être de la vanille né lui en donnaient pas le goût… La carte des vins né propose que deux bouteilles de rosé alors qu’il y a un beau choix en rouge et blanc… ces rosés né sont en plus pas disponible en demi bouteille… En résumé, trop chère pour ce résultat… sans compter sur le fait que l’accès à la sortie de secours est obstrué par un tonneau et la présence de mauvais goût d’un massacre (crâné de cerf avec ses bois) qui jure avec la décoration qui est pourtant assez belle…

Le nouveau 1815 est un restaurant exceptionnel; je né fais pourtant pas partie du staff. Depuis 2 ans, les nouveaux propriétaires mettent en avant un accueil 1ère classe, un environnement chic et convivial et, last but not least, une cuisine dont nous n’avons jamais été déçu! Peu de restaurant nous ont fait la même impression. À recommander chaudement. Ah oui, des prix abordables pour une telle qualité!
