British in Whitby, ON

For a drink and watching sports this place is great… but most of the food is subpar, most offerings are not fresh and you can tell it’s from frozen. I hope the owner turns the menu around because they have a great location and an amazing patio, now the food has to catch up.

The Royal Oak

Wings were good, service was terrible. Its like the 3 of us were invisible. We watched a customer at the table next to us have to get up to get another drink long after being served food.

My dad and I were looking for a bite one evening when we wandered upon the Hunter’s Horn. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted, seated and u drink order was taken. Sweet. The décor is old and is in desperate need of an update. The booths are carpet had that dark pub red. Blah. They do have a nice patio…
