Informal family style and authentic setting. Family run hotel and restaurant. We didn’t stay in the hotel but the restaurant was recommended by two of the staff at our hotel. Good local Franconian food and wine. They grow their own grapes and make their own wine, in addition to an extensive wine menu.

I am writing this review on the restaurant, not the hotel. This restaurant gave us by far the worst experience in Germany, that I almost wanted to leave Rothenburg immediately. Thanks to the rude servers. They ignored us because we are not German! Food was extremely slow. Since there are plenty of restaurants…
