Caffe’ San Marco

Nice place for a drink. Varied wine list include some excellent local selections. Snacks included. Service is sparse and you may find it unusual, but relax — this is where you go to watch stylish locals take a break before dinner, remembering the laid back service is part of what makes Trieste Italian.

Bar: Gran BAR Malabar

A mediocre bar with little atmosphere but amazing location on one of the best pedestrian streets of trieste. Prices are decent with a spritz aperol for 2.50. It’s the go to bar for students on Wednesdays so it can get pretty full.

Strange strange place. It’s a bar, but it seems to have a newsagents inside as well.Trieste seems to have a distinct lack of «cool» bars.
