This is the only real high end cocktail bar I found in Ueno. Very friendly bar staff. Bring Google translate if you don’t speak Japanese, but they are very friendly to foreigners.

It’s surprisingly delicious and pretty authentic italian food in Asakusa. Great service, a lovely courtyard, tucked away on a side street about a 10 minute walk from Senso-Ji temple. Highly recommended.

This pasta shop is in the Cozy Corner right outside the Ueno station. All pastas are less than ¥900 and you can add another ¥250 for a drink
