Great no-nonsense local pub with good pub food and range of beers. Staff are very friendly and there’s a selection of board games. TV gets brought out for significant sports matches and guitar gets played if you’re unlucky to be there with an amateur musician.We go there all the time in groups to catch up…
Great, and eccentric, local pub with a huge selection of Belgian beers. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is informal. Very different to most other places you’ll experience.
A great pub in an excellent riverside location. Good menu — I can only vouch for the vegetarian options but they were tasty and nicely presented. One of the best pubs for lunch in the area.
this is an upmarket «gastro pub» with a quite good dining room, pleasant serving staff and a sufficient selection of beers on tap. Convenient location. (Fish and chips eleven pounds).
Rowdy, no-frills place in town, not pretending to be anything it’s not. Expect cheap food and drink all day and the crowd to match. The particularly critical reviews were perhaps expecting something different.
Popped in for a pint as, mistakenly read by us, it had a beer garden. Friendly service, reasonable choice of ales and wines. Good show, behind the bar, of spirits. Comfortable seating. But, it was a pub, nothing extra to write home about.
Consistently overrated and overpriced. Mainly targeting tourists for the RAF signatures and DNA connection, which the chain who own it have been casing in on for years.
