A pub at a nature park what a cracking idea! Looks like a proper pub too. They brew their own beer. The Paradise bitter. I didn’t much like, but the Artists ale was really nice.
Nice pub, nice setting, lovely food. Good place to be on a summer evening. They (staff) are a little paranoid when opening a tab, and want your documents and rank/serial number at the bar. All in all though, ok :-)
went here on 11 1 13 would not be going back again booked a table for eight o’clock arrived at 7.45 told them we where there to be told he would call us when it was ready 8.15 had to remind them, placed our order at the bar after a long wait the starters arrived only to be given the wrong one after my wife…
I wasn’t overly impressed with this bar for food. Upon entering the bar downstairs it looked quite nice but we were seated upstairs which was a bland room which looked like a room above a garage with an odd shade of lighting. It did not have a good atmosphere upstairs. Unsure as to why we were seated upstairs…
although the food looked nice here it seemed a bit overpriced for what it was. only one member of staff was around and seemed more interested in loudly talking to her friends. Dont think ill be returning here.
Went night before lovely staff and decent pint asked about food for the following night and was told ok no need to book.
