new owners Terry and Jean had only been in a couple of days, but they are very nice people and the room was very nice and clean, breakfast was filling and set us up nicely for the day out in cathedral. We will definately be going back when next in Canterbury.

A wonderful family run tea shop serving authentic Kentish cream teas with real leaf tea– no teabags. Lunch time snacks include toasted sandwiches, ploughmans and home made cakes. It is licensed and opens from Wednesday to Sunday. It is also has a small number of guest rooms.

The Pilgrims Rest

This has to be my most perfect place to stay when I visit Canterbury overnight. The rooms are always clean, tidy with contemporary décor and well presented. The bathroom is my favourite as they have roll top bath tubs and a walk in shower! Great if you’re a couple wanting to each get clean at the same time. The…
