Best fish and chips in the area. We bring this home for all of our out of town guests and it’s always a huge hit.

This is now called «The Tasty Plaice» not Saunders anymore. It is much much better than Saunders, the fish is great the chips are not greasy. Other meals I’ve had from there are lovely, recently been taken over and done up new paint etc and a 5⁄5 Star Health/Food Safety Rating, prices too are very resonable…

A quirky little take out fish and chips spot, generous portions at a reasonable price. A little greasy perhaps but cooked fresh, served super hot and the chips (fries) were indeed excellent. The owner is a bit of character, so don’t be surprised.

Hole in the wall but well kept inside :-) under £6 for Haddock and chips. You don’t leave with a fishy smell on your clothes :-) nice place!no seating — merely a classic chip shop — order, pay, leave

A real fish & chip shop — no doner kebabs, piri-piri — just what chippies are supposed to do. And this one does it right. Cooked to order, one serving feeds two comfortably and the park benches across the street make for great al-fresco dining.
