Every day I walk to work and each morning I get the lovely smell of fresh baked goodies coming from the Alsager Bakehouse! The man who runs it is wonderful, almost as wonderful as the delicious scones he bakes! Definitely will be visiting again! Thank you so much! I would highly recommend this bakery!

These are the best oatcakes that I’ve tasted. Low on salt, thin and irregular in shape. If you order on line for delivery by courier you should note that oatcakes are only shipped once a week on Tuesday for which you must order by 4pm Monday, or wait until the next week. This isn’t made apparent on the web…

High Lane Oatcakes

Excellent oatcakes plain or filled. Thin, lace-y, good taste. In this area the relative merits of oatcake shops are fiercely debated, but this is generally held to be one of the best.

For birthdays, this place is just great. Everybody that has had their cake have always had positive things to say about it. They’re really good at what they do. Until someone better opens up a cake shop next to my house, this will remain my number one place to go.

The queue was out the door shortly after midday for Wright’s pasties and pastries. I personally restrained myself and ordered a bacon and cheese pasty with a rocky road cupcake. And cherry coca cola. Because that is what life is all about.The marshmallows on the cupcake were really chewy which kind of spoiled…

I had what was the worst oatcake of my life from this place. Served by a guy with a skinhead and goaty who I’m sure had just come in from smoking a ciggy, without washing his hands!!!Sausage (tasted like sawdust) and cheese with a cheap brown sauce-AVOID.
