This is a lovely little teashop. The theme is Singer sewing machines, there is a local link as the Singer family lived in Paignton quite nearby at Oldway Mansion. The tables are all tops built on old singer bases and there are old Singer manuals on the walls.The café is small but they do really nice cream teas…

I think this place is ok if you like the feeling you have gone back into the 80’s. It has a good view but for me it starts and ends there really, its just in need of a good facelift. It is a typical seaside café greasy spoon.

I have to agree with the previous review, where do they get the staff from. Most places in Paignton are friendly but not the Jade. The last time I went there I was shocked by the price and I had a cake that was not great.The coffee house is in a great position and I am surprised it is always so busy but I can’t…
