My wife and I stayed at the White Lion for 2 nights last year and loved it. We had a lovely room, the staff were friendly and food (and ale!) was really good. We enjoyed an evening stroll round the picturesque village too. Recommended.

It’s just a local pub in a very tranquil setting. I jog there when I have time off work just so I have an A to B route, sometimes stop for a coke and head back. I love the canal so it’s nice to have somewhere close (beside’s the horse shoe).If you fancy a pint, with a nice setting, this is where to land.
