Goleta Beach Park

Beautiful «forest»! We go most every year, and I just enjoy the peace and tranquility this place has to offer. Unfortunately, this year we didn’t get to experience the butterfly effect. We were only able to see about 5 butterflies and no butterfly clusters :(. I think global warming is affecting these beauties…

Coronado Butterfly Preserve

Just spent another weekend here camping and this is the best I have seen it in years. The sand is back on the beach the restrooms where clean and they now sell hot food at the store.

Refugio State Park

If you like windy, dusty, loud, hot campgrounds you will love this one! Oh not to mention the tar on the beach! It’s quiet possibly one of the worst campgrounds I have ever been to. Nothing like camping next to a freeway.
